How donating with a pickup works

There's no sorting by quality, no donation-center hours to work around, and no need to be home. You bag your clothing, shoes, and household linens, leave them where you noted, and we take it from there. Curious about the details? See how it works and what we accept.

We take what other places won't

Most donation bins and thrift shops only want items in good, resellable shape — which leaves people throwing the rest away. We take clothing in any condition. Wearable pieces are rehomed; stained, torn, or worn-out textiles are passed to a recycling partner where we can. We do everything we can to keep anything reusable out of the landfill.

A note on tax receipts: Abq Reclaimed is a local reuse and recycling service, not a registered 501(c)(3) charity, so pickups aren't tax-deductible. If a deduction is your priority, a registered charity may suit you better — but if convenience and keeping clothes out of the landfill is the goal, a free pickup is hard to beat.

Before you ask — the honest limits. Abq Reclaimed is just me, and I run a few community projects at once. So free pickups are limited and entirely at my discretion — I can't take everything, and some weeks I can't do pickups at all. Send a photo and I'll tell you honestly whether I can fit it in; if I can't, I'll point you elsewhere. (Prefer to drop off? We can sometimes arrange that by appointment.) When I do collect, a few days later I send you a Reclaim Receipt telling you where your stuff went.
