Shoes are bulky, awkward to donate, and we hang onto them far too long. Abq Reclaimed makes it simple: free, contactless shoe pickup across Albuquerque, for every kind of pair — and even the lonely singles.

Every pair has somewhere to go

Gently used sneakers, boots, dress shoes, and sandals are in high demand secondhand, so they get cleaned up and rehomed. Blown-out, scuffed-past-saving footwear can be recycled into materials for things like athletic surfaces. Even a single shoe is worth sending — it can still be recycled. We accept footwear in any condition.

How to prep your shoes

Knock off loose dirt and let them dry.
Pair them with a rubber band or tied laces (singles are welcome too).
Bag them with your clothing — no need to separate.
Set them out with your scheduled pickup.

Before you ask — the honest limits. Abq Reclaimed is just me, and I run a few community projects at once. So free pickups are limited and entirely at my discretion — I can't take everything, and some weeks I can't do pickups at all. Send a photo and I'll tell you honestly whether I can fit it in; if I can't, I'll point you elsewhere. (Prefer to drop off? We can sometimes arrange that by appointment.) When I do collect, a few days later I send you a Reclaim Receipt telling you where your stuff went.
